| 2002 Outstanding O.D. Projects of Year Award Winners announced at The 33nd Annual Information Exchange on May 21, 2002 in Williamsburg, Virginia: |
The First Place Silver Bowl Award was presented to Elaine Gagne, Ed.D., from the Renaissance Consulting Group for their “Compass (Common Passion)” Project at Farnam Companies.
The Second Place Silver Bowl Award was present to Bob Skoda from the Association for Individual Development for the project on “People Strategies in a Not for Profit Organization: Preventing a Layoff Through Making Employees the Pivotal Focus of Change”.
The Third Place Silver Bowl Award went to Carolyn Ott from Inspired Performance for the project on “Enhancing Business Performance: Employability, and Engagement while Transforming from a Local Business to an International Business Partner”.
Honorable Mentions went to:
Philip Anderson at Abbott Laboratories for the project on “Alligning Organizational Cculture Through Six Sigmas”;
Mona Amodeo Braxton for the project on “Creating Transorganizational Vision Using an Appreciative Approach to Create an Alliance between Two Competing Economic Development Agencies” at the Image Development Marketing Group and the Pensacola Chamber of Commerce and TEAM Santa Rosa;
Keith Cox from Tirawa Consulting Inc. and FM Systems, Inc. on “Building an Appreciative Team-Based Organization”;
Anne Kohnke Meda and Dr. Jacqueling Stavos at Tendercare for their project on “An Appreciate Inquiry into the Positive Core of Wayne Senior Assisted Living Center” and
Dean Robb, The Resistance Group & Career and Life Learning Systems (CLLS), and The Judiciary Branch of the New Jersey State Government Project on “Building Organizational Resilience”.
The Most Outstanding O.D. Article of the Year Award of $2,000 was given to Dr. Jerry Glover, RODP at Hawaii Pacific University in Hawaii for his article on “Adaptive Leadership: When Change is Not Enough” (Part One) in the 2002 #2 (Summer issue of The O.D. Journal )and “Adaptive Leadership: Four Principles for Being Adaptive” (Part Two) in the 2002 #4 (Winter issue of The O.D. Journal).
