O.D. Institute Membership Information

We have three categories of membership: Professional Consultant, Regular, and Student. There are no requirements for
Regular membership. Regular members who believe that they are professionals qualified in O.D. by training and experience and who agree to abide by the International O.D. Code of Ethics may use the initials RODP (Registered O.D. Professional) after their name. Those who meet our requirements for Professional Consultant and agree to abide by the International O.D. Code of Ethics may use the initials RODC (Registered O.D. Consultant) after their name.

Membership in The O.D. Institute includes:

We realize that some of you may have joined late in our membership year and may have not yet received a full 12 months of membership. We would like to be able to bill each of you indivually on the anniversary date of your first dues payment. But, this is complicated and expensive. If you like the things we are doing, we hope that you can send us your dues at this time.

In order to avoid bank service charges on checks that have to be sent to a foreign country for collection, your check must be drawn on a bank with a branch in the USA because it has access to the USA electronic check cashing clearinghouse. In order to keep our costs at a minimum, we do not accept credit cards. Two credit cards would cost us US$1500/year plus a processing fee.
